FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What Classes Do You Teach?
Stop Emotional Eating Course:
Emotional eating is eating, not out of hunger, but to try to solve for something we are feeling. This may be boredom, anxiety, stress or overwhelm. We may not know why we do this, but know we weigh more than we want, know we eat more than we want and feel stressed most of the time. The reality is that we emotionally eat because for much of our lives it worked - if only for the short term. We feel bad, and we turn to food because it feels good. But this coping is not a long-term solution. It’s time for something different. Time to uplevel! We’ll learn the simple and effective skills of emotional strength and resilience, so that we become more empowered and capable in our own lives. Overeating is often an underfeeling problem. Feeling your feelings may sound indulgent, time-consuming or overwhelming, but the skill of emotional intelligence can be a game changer in your life. We’ll look at the difference between your thoughts and circumstances, your emotions, your actions and the results you may want - or want to avoid in your life. This doesn’t take hours - it takes understanding and awareness and will increase the amount of energy and joy you feel each day.
Mindful Money:
I've found that money is an amplifier: it makes you more of what you choose to be. In this class we'll explore and experiment with tools to earn, save and spend money to create more abundance for you, your family and others. We’ll dive into managing money, earning more money, purposeful spending, debt beliefs and achieving money goals. When I learned the tools I now teach, I didn’t realize how much I was holding myself back from truly enjoying my finances, no matter the amount in my bank account.
For those that have taken my emotional eating classes, this is the next level after we make peace with food. I've had clients who have told me that they have stopped overeating, but now they are overspending. That's totally understandable, and this class can help you build your relationship with money and your relationship with you. And if you haven’t taken my emotional eating classes, the tools we learn here help every area of your life: your health, your relationships, and more.
Radical Self-Care Course:
Now is the time to learn to care for yourself so you can give to others. This class goes beyond small acts for stress-relief. It is learning a sustainable way to think, feel and do so you can continue your work in the world. Why radical self-care? Because without it, we face overwhelm, stress and burnout. We overcare for others and undercare ourselves. Learning a better way doesn’t take hours and hours. It’s simple strategies for our brain, for our heart and for all of us. This class is different because it’s for both mind and body. Each class will blend practical and lighthearted techniques that center our mind and care for our bodies. We’ll practice gentle chair yoga, intentional breathing, nervous system resets, self-coaching skills, and guided meditation. Casual clothes recommended. No special equipment needed.
