How do you want to feel and how do you want to live?

In my programs, we learn and practice how to manage emotional eating so we can love our bodies no matter what, lose weight if we want and for reasons we like, and (at any age!) start living the life we want in a body we love. We practice using our energy, bodies and brains to pursue our real passions, find more confidence and be more resilient. I love to work with people to teach and practice the same tools I use everyday because they work! Everything you’ve tried before has served you in some way-we’ll integrate that as well as learning some new tools for whatever life is offering you.

WHAT DOES COACHING WITH ME LOOK LIKE?

Starting with our introductory session, we talk together one on one for 60 minutes on Zoom. This coaching session will be different than other conversations you’ve had before. If you join my coaching program, you’ll get six totally individualized sessions. I’ll lead you through different tools and skill building each week with targeted coaching on any problems that come up for you.

WHAT DO WE WORK ON?

Our six weeks may include managing emotional eating, learning and practicing new coping skills, formulating and implementing needed self-care routines and weight goals, and all the while building emotional resilience and relieving stress. We will explore your unique needs as they currently are, as well as the goals that you have. We’ll address any topics you want to work on like stress, overwhelm, anxiety, emotional eating or the inability to relax or manage worry.  We’ll focus on the top things that are driving your need to eat or worry and how to cultivate, commit and get the most out of your time for yourself to renew and relax mentally and emotionally. We’ll look at intentional thoughts and mindsets. We keep it simple and focused. You can just show up to our Zoom calls, and I will take it from there. If I can’t help you, I will happily refer you to someone who can.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN MY SESSION?

I use tools I learned as a certified coach from The Life Coach School. We use The Model, which is simply this:

Circumstances are neutral.

We have thoughts about our circumstances.

Thoughts create feelings.

Feelings drive actions.

Actions create results.

I use this simple concept because it helps us understand what we are doing, how we are feeling and what we are thinking. This relates to emotional eating and worry because many times unconscious beliefs are preventing us from truly caring for ourselves and others in a sustainable way. Unconscious beliefs are just thoughts we have forgotten we are thinking. Looking at our brains with the aid of a neutral coach trained to hold space without an agenda gives us the opportunity to really see ourselves and decide intentionally the way we want to show up in our lives. I combine this with body-based tools such as nervous system awareness, yoga, and other simple strategies to help our bodies become a safe space for us. Building the relationship with our brains and bodies, our hearts and minds, changes everything and I can’t wait to show you how. Emotional eating coaching isn’t just about what to eat - anyone can teach you that - it’s about how to think and feel when you are hungry, overwhelmed, frustrated or want to give up.
